Speaking to the same topic as Governor Bob McDonnell’s editorial about changes to welfare reform, Romney has released a new ad slamming the President for gutting welfare reform. The ad touts the Clinton-era accomplishment, picture of Bill and all, and accuses of Obama of just wanting to send welfare recipients a check. Hot Air covers the ad, which is below:
In addition, Hot Air notes that Obama opposed the “workfare” concept back when he was active in Illinois politics. He doesn’t believe you should be required to work, or train for work, while receiving taxpayer handouts. Romney has been taking this message to the stump, and it’s one Obama is particularly vulnerable on.
