I understand the frustration politicians feel when they’re being “tracked”, but resorting to physical altercations in public settings is one of the worst things someone running for office can do. It’s one thing if the camerman is truly infringing on your life outside of the campaign realm, but another when you just don’t want your comments heard. Challenger John Douglass (D-VA5) got pretty darn frustrated when a camera showed up:
Hitting the camera is a big no-no. Douglass is running against Republican Robert Hurt, who picked up the seat in 2010. Outbursts like this aren’t liable to help the Democrat’s chances.
